Mindfulness Meditation

Our minds are designed to process everything going on around us, and this inner dialogue forms the backdrop to our daily experiences. In meditation we are not attempting to silence the inner dialogue. We are instead we are offering the mind something on which to focus which allows us to be in the present moment. This could be your breath, your body, a word, a phrase, an image, a movement, or an object.

You will be training your attention so you be more able to notice your thoughts, your body, your emotions, and the things around you in each moment, without judging, analysing, or creating stories. In other words, you are showing up in the moment you are in, regardless of what is happening and viewing things ‘as is’. You will be able to see the difference between the fictional stories you create with your mind and the true reality of the moment. It is only when you are able to see these differences that you are able to dispel the stories and the stress they cause, and realise you have more choice in how you react.

Mindfulness Meditation was instrumental in supporting me to become more comfortable within my body. It gave me the tools to be present, rather than worrying about the future or ruminating about the past. It has created space between what is happening in the present moment, and my response, and so I have been able to have more choice on how to deal with anxiety and anger.

Above all, it has helped me to go from overwhelm to inner calm, and from illness to wellness.

And the great news it that all of these benefits have been scientifically proven.

Whether you would like to learn how to put down the best meditation foundations, develop your knowledge and experience, or train to become an externally accredited Meditation Teacher, I am here to support you.
