I am a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Trainer and Reiki Master Teacher based in the relaxing and peaceful setting of Winterbourne Down in Bristol.

I love bringing you quality Meditation Teacher Training, which is why I am an accredited teacher trainer with the British School of Meditation.  I look after the South West region centre running 5 day courses in Clifton Village, Bristol.

I love bringing Mindfulness Meditation to the community, which is why I offer regular Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced classes for all ages from my calm and nurturing setting in Winterbourne Down.

I love everything about Reiki, which is why I am a Reiki Master Teacher offering everything to do with Reiki from treatments, to courses in Reiki 1, Reiki 2 and Reiki Practitioner.

Why I do what I do……..

In 1999 I was diagnosed with M.E. and I was told that it was likely I would have it for the rest of my life. I was only 26. There was no magic wand to getting better and so I decided to explore many different holistic treatments as well as reading lots of self-help books. It was whilst reading a book on Buddhism that I discovered meditation, and more specifically mantra meditations.

Something really resonated with me and I decided to choose my own personal mantras, Happy, Healthy and Strong, which I repeated both inside and outside of meditation as much as I could. By 2003 the holistic therapies, along with my meditation practice, had been instrumental in bringing me to a place where I could finally be Happy, Healthy and Strong and so I felt inclined to use my life experiences to positive use and help others. After extensive training I set up my own Holistic Therapy business and it has been an absolute privilege to bring help and support to many different individuals.

Some of the side effects of M.E. are that you can often feel like a shell of your former self, with the inner light switched off. This can lead to anxiety and depression. This is why I am so glad that I discovered Reiki. My journey with Reiki began in 2003 and I have found this gentle, yet highly effective treatment, to be empowering and life changing – it helped to switch the light back on. 3 years later I embarked on a Reiki Master apprenticeship, as well as a City and Guilds Level 4 certificate in Further Education Teaching.  It gives me the greatest pleasure to help empower individuals in my Reiki classes. I regularly run courses in Reiki 1, Reiki 2 and Reiki Practitioner – which has been verified by the UK Reiki Federation as an approved course.

Helping people to find better ways to cope with the stresses of life is important to me. In 2013 I took the natural next step to become an accredited Meditation Teacher and I was thrilled to qualify, with a distinction, with the British School of Meditation. I now support individuals to make friends with their chatty mind through meditation courses for Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced.

I also spent a year teaching meditation in a school to children with medical, social and complex health issues and I was inspired and amazed at their response and acceptance of the meditation techniques. In 2014 I was incredibly honoured to be asked to be a trainer for the British School of Meditation. I really enjoy being part of the British School of Meditation team and to run the Meditation Teacher Training for the South West region, based in Clifton Village, Bristol. I love teaching and supporting students through the process to becoming Meditation Teachers, and as I have been through the experience myself, I have a complete understanding of the students own experience.

I am a registered member of the The British School of Meditation, The Federation of Holistic Therapists, The UK Reiki Federation, as well as being registered for Reiki with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.  This means I have demonstrated that I have met UK-wide government standards for safe and competent practice.  As member of these organisations I have: signed their code of ethics; hold an up-to-date indemnity insurance document; and commit to at least 15 hours of Continuing Professional Development.

I also hold an enchanced DBS certificate and in accordance with GDPR, I am registered on the Data Protection Register (ICO) and I hold a privacy policy, which you can view upon request.
